Sueño de Amor (SdA) #102. Monday August 8, 2016. Ricardo The Lionheart Has Nothing On This Ricardo!

Students, faculty, cancer-ridden ex-fiancée: I cancelled your coffee break and gathered you in this auditorium to gloat about my shacking up with this beautiful, voluptuous and definitely cancer-free blonde!

Hello Patio Pals! I’m away on holiday until August 22. Mini-recaps for Monday and Tuesday are scheduled to post the next day at 6 am EDT. Be well and see you soon, Sueñolandia dwellers!

Esperanza has a lot of fever due to the cancer virotherapy. The little inspirational board that hangs in her bedroom says: “After a brief dream, to wake up eternally”. Juaréver that means. Pato and Pedro take turns in taking care of their mother.

Tres Veces Ana # 60 and 61 - In which Ana Le settles many of her debts

(Some scene consolidation below, don’t be confused)

Skipping the rehash and going straight to the new material, because far be it from me to deprive you all of the episode that might just make you wish you could kick some of these characters in a shin. No finger pointing though (Llora).

So we ended on Facundo confusing Ana Lu for Ana Leticia. Before Santicelo could collect his split personality brain cells and think up an excuse, Ana Lu gave him a huge break by assuming that Facundo had just mistaken Leticia with Lucia, since he probably just heard it for the first time yesteday! So she corrected him and invited him for coffee. Santi of course played along, and Facundo – quick thinking on his feet (he must have had a lot of time to do crossword puzzles and Sudoku in his cave) – did as well.
(Side note – what is happening to Ana Lu’s blouse there? Is it borrowed from Ana Le?)

Tres Veces Ana #49/54: Who Killed G.R.? And Who The Heck Is Ana Leticia?

Parte 1~

While Mariano is suffering guilt pangs for having fooled around with Valentin Padilla’s exploitative ex, Facundo is getting the second biggest shock of his life in seeing that his dead and buried son is no longer dead and buried, but very much alive.  Unfortunately, Santiago wants nothing to do with him or the past life he represents as Marcelo Salvaterra’s father.  (And, what a debby-downer!  A recluse ruminating in refuse. Santi can't help but wrinkle his nose in disgust.)

Facundo may be his father but he’s no father figure.  SanMarco cannot remember the man and seeing him does not arouse feeling number one in him.  He knows enough about Marcelo Salvaterra to know he doesn’t want to be that man or have any part of his life as his any longer.  Remedios was Santi’s biggest help, his biggest fan, and his only reason for having recovered. That won’t stop Facundo from trying to rescue him from his amnesia, and he tells him as much.

Ramiro visits Mariano at The Realty Place and tells him he wants the truth about Gina’s death.

Sueno de amor, #101, Friday Alive! Alive!

Hello, everybody!
As Nandicta is away for a much needed break, I'll be in charge of Fridays for a while and so far I'm doing a terrible job. I just got back from my vacation, so I haven't had the chance to unpack, watch the show or catch up with the last week of recaps. So, I have no clue what happened yesterday, except to say that ADRIAN IS ALIVE (which I found out from Univision's site).
If you, guys, are kind enough to share a few of last night's happenings, I'll add them here, to give those who can't watch at the moment more details.  I'll do the same, if I get the chance to watch before the next show airs.

Later edit, courtesy of Pablo (THANK YOU, Pablo, you rock!)

Tres Veces Ana #56 and 57 - The Amnesiac of the Baskervilles

Hi all -- Sneaky is unable to recap for us today, so I am providing a short summary from memory below and if anybody has more details, please add in comments and I will update the main post later. Otherwise, discuss away!

Quite a bit of movement this episode.

First, as we suspected Ana Le is trying to weasel her way out of the predicament she created by accepting Ramiro’s advances. Nobody wants to hear her out though, except our gullible Llora. Before deciding to bare her lying soul, Ana Le goes into a rage attack and slaps Llora. Realizing that, should Llora talk about this, Ana Le will never get out of the doghouse, our scheming murderess asks Llora to keep the slap quiet from the family. After all, she – Ana Le – is going through so much. Marcelo is really alive and Ramiro knew this all along, so Ana Le only agreed to this relationship to get closer to Marcelo, who faked his death and is in hiding. Llora, of course, cannot believe this. She is instructed by Ana Le to go talk to Ramiro and say nothing to anybody else. So the joy of Llora’s tears and probably yet another break up with Ramiro is awaiting us in one of the next few episodes.

Sueño de amor, Ep. 100 (8.4.16) Unplanned, unwanted, rejected, ugly, abused, alcoholic, raped, neglected, kidnapped, dead.

Whoope! We made it to 100th! 30 more to go!

The refried made us watch again the agony of Erny and the morbid curiosity of Espy while they both saw Kracy giving water to Adrián.

From there Erny went to see Ricardo with the purpose of terminate him. Only way to save his own son. You know that although Baxter has tracked Adrián down, Ernesto is desperate to get him back and gives in to Kracy's demands, trying to kill Richerd. But Ricardo, who can sell you an umbrella on a rainy day using his rhetoric, convinces Erny that Kracy is so crazy that she wont fulfill her promise after he is dead, so he is spared, and just in the heat of the argument, Cristina Vélez Valderrama (or CVV for short) arrives and tackles Erny down, making him lose his gun. Sorry, this was part of the conditions and I would do anything for my son (except go visit him in the rehab center).
I would even give my life for his. Now.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 24 (Aug 1, 2016) 2nd Half

So, two of our bad guys are locked up in a prison, not unlike the one Fer was in. She’s feeling sorry for Luis, who insists on calling her Luisa, after himself, because she knows what prisons are like. Carlos and many on the Caray Patio would do not agree, after all the maldad he’s caused, and which Carlos keeps enumerating. Luis deserves to be where he is and he deserves to get the best treatment from Apolinaro and his gang.

Luis, on the other hand, was feeling great as he made arrangements to flee the country, leaving this daughter he’s been fighting for, for weeks, in order to avoid prison. With glee he believes he’s off to Taiwan holding onto a cheap little necklace (not unlike the one Felipe wanted to give Fer at the beginning of this story). Taiwan is pretty far away to try to recoup a daughter he didn't know he had for 20 years and to whom he’s caused nothing but pain and sorrow. How nice the getaway was foiled by the hardworking police force.

Of course, Luis wouldn’t be where he is today had Carlos not been able to recoup the box of documents proving that Luis had ruined his family’s bank. So much for listening at doors and overhearing conversations—now I’m all for it.

Luis is last seen vowing to get out of prison one way or another and give Fer the necklace. When it is taken from him by other prisoners, his one-track mind focuses on the necklace rather than thinking about becoming a model prisoner and serving his time.

It seems to me that Luis is feeling sorry enough for himself than for Fer to feel sorry for him, too. What will Fernanda do about her feelings for Luis? We can only wait and see.

Yago #47, Wednesday August 4, 2016: Yago vs. Omar

Bullet points:

- Lucio gets Damian out of jail, much to the horror of Sara and Mati.

- Julia accepts Selma as her mama. (Fidel will have to wait a little longer.)

- Melina tells Yago she doesn't want any more to do with him. He can come back when he's ready to be Omar.

- Lucio looks for Abel at Camilo's request, but is unable to find him. Also, Lucio's been doing coke. Oh yeah, that'll totally help!

- Yago agrees to let Jimena, the pushy artist, exhibit her art in his bar. He offers her a wall for a new mural.

- There's some discussion about what to do with Abel. Also, Team Fidel/Yago agree to target Hernan next.

- Camilo impresses Mati and woos Sara. (Sara lets Camilo know that Lucio isn't Mati's biological father.) The flirtation leads to a poker game in which Sara is the prize. Sara throws the game, but when it's time to pay up, it's not clear if she can go through with it...

The blow-by-blow:

Tres Veces Ana #54 and 55 - A long lead up to an explosive reveal - the evil queen is banished from the kingdom, but keeps her head…for now

We start with a couple of Llora/Ana Le and Ramiro/Santiago repeat moments. (Aren't there suddenly more repeat scenes in these double episodes at the beginning?)

Marcelo gave a very firm and convincing talk to Mariano’s lawyer friend Samuel. Marcelo will protect friends and destroy his enemies and Samuel better pick a side and fast. Mousy Samuel agrees he is better off on Marcelo’s good side. In that case, Marcelo instructs him to give him the key to the security deposit box and transfer all the money Samuel laundered abroad to Marcelo under the alias they’ve used previously. Samuel will also indeed represent Ana Le in the divorce. Marcelo will get a different lawyer. Samuel will make sure things don’t go Ana Le’s way in this divorce and that Marcelo quickly regains his freedom. Samuel is not to talk to Santiago Garcia. To him Santiago Garcia does not exist. Seems there are a lot of dirty deeds between these two, as Samuel did not even try to argue.

Sueño de amor #99 Wednesday 8/3/16

So, here we are with our story ready to pick up right after Ricardo and Cristina reaffirm their love for each other and kiss.

At home, Anya is having a nightmare of sorts where all of her patients are gone and Pedro appears as a doctor trying to convince her that love can also be a profession (just like medicine) by having her listen to his accelerated heart beat which he says she caused. She awakens just as they are about to kiss and laughs at herself for being so crazy and seeing Pedro as a doctor in her dream.

At the Guerrero's, Pedro tucks his mother Esperanza into bed. They say good night and he turns out the light.

Yago #46: The Perfect Weapon

Full recap is up now. Enjoy!

Flashback: Abel comes to Casa Guerrero in the middle of the night, beat up and bleeding after getting in yet another fight. Omar lets him in and takes him upstairs, trying not to wake the rest of the family, but Melina wakes anyway. She sends Omar for the medical kit to tend to Abel’s wounds, and gently warns Abel to stop getting into these fights. He’s going to get himself killed one day. He has to learn to control himself. She assures him she’s concerned about him and that he’s family. Abel is touched, and tells her what his grandmother told him—that he’s the family black sheep and a lost soul. Melina tells him, “Your grandmother doesn’t know what a big heart you have. And I don’t think you do either.”

Abel voiceover: “Omar’s family healed my old wounds. Ones I never thought were possible to heal. They believed in me, and made me believe that I wasn’t the monster that everyone else thought I was. But they were mistaken. The monster was only sleeping.”

Present day: Abel meets Hernan in an abandoned warehouse, prepared to follow Camilo’s orders and interrogate someone. Abel stops cold when he sees the someone is a terrified Melina. Abel tries to get out of it and asks Hernan to let her go. He points out to Hernan that he knows the lady. Hernan, the Killing Machine, doesn’t give a damn. Abel’s there to get info out of the old lady, by any means necessary. Abel is more than reluctant, remembering how kind Melina has always been to him.

She claims she had the chance, but was never brave enough to reach for happiness & feels she doesn't deserve it. He says it's her life, but he wants to thank her for helping him discover a heart that still beats. But due to her resistance, he can't resolve the sadness she feels inside. Sueño de Amor (SdA) #98. Tuesday August 2, 2016. Adrián In A Gorilla Cage, Ernesto In Debt to His Rival And Maggie In Suegra Hell!

Oh hell no! I didn't invest months of cougaring to land this  young thang only to have his mom sleep in our bed!

Hello Patio Pals! I’m away on holiday until August 22. Mini-recaps for Monday and Tuesday are scheduled to post the next day at 6 am EDT. Be well and see you soon, Sueñolandia dwellers!

Montserrat Izquierdo viuda del Pozo, mother of Félix Tiburcio del Pozo is visiting from Tabasco (actual Tabasco, not the Tabasco where we exile telenovela characters). She is a mustached woman whose vestimentary inspirations are Madonna in “Like A Virgin” and Hyacinth Bucket from the BBC’s “Keeping Up Appearances”. She plans to live at Casa Manzanares for the next 2 to 24 months. She is overbearing, haughty, meddlesome and nit-picky. She laughs like a hyperactive hyena, eats like a medieval serf during famine and relishes mocking Margarita for her advanced age.

Yago #45 More cold blooded killing

I don't know how to make this any shorter, there is too much information I would be leaving out in order to do so.

We start with a flashback from Omar, he’s about 10, Jonas walks in on Omar in the midst of a huge mess in his workshop, yelling at Omar, how he could do such a thing. Omar denies culpability, but his father doesn’t believe his denials. They go outside, Jonas asks if it wasn’t Omar, who did it? Omar sees a smirking Lucio in the distance, but like a good friend, Omar takes the fall for him.
Yago is heard saying that there’s nothing worse than be accused of something you didn’t do. Poor Omar has had a lot of that in his life. And the latest is from Matias accusing Yago of killing Ambar. And just like when Jonas wouldn’t believe in the goodness of Omar and Omar’s denials, Jonas is repeating it with Yago, and told Yago to leave.

Well, even though Julia left her conversation with Katia in a huff, saying she didn’t want to have anything to do with Selma and Fidel, she now is taking the time to read the letter Selma wrote to her dead daughter Fabiana, the letter that  Katia snuck from Selma’s book and then gave to Julia. It says:

Adrián is happy because he feels he is in the best phase of his life. He is out of rehab, he has learnt to love and accept himself, he has forgiven his dad, his parents are happy in their respective romantic relationships and Estrella has agreed to be with him forever! All is peachy peach cobbler in Adrián’s life! The boy has been happy for all of 12 episodes and he hasn’t been bullied or punched in the face for a whole 5 episodes so, naturally, it’s time for Osorio to start torturing him again. Kracy kidnaps Adrián at gunpoint (a punta de pistola) outside his school.

Tres Veces Ana # 50 and 51 - In which it seems that the odds are stacked against Ana Le, yet it is too soon for the good to triumph

Hold on to your flat screens, Patio friends, we have a lot to cover here today.

Rehash: Santi and Sole continue to figure out whether he still loves his wife.

Tin is asking fake Llora to not let TioM separate them. Tin will die if he loses Llora. In her fake faint, too sweet voice, “Llora” asks Tin what he has against her tio. Well, says surprised Tin, it is actually him – the crippled by TioM poor schmuck who is entitled to feeling snubbed. TioM made him like this!!!

Out at the get-away ranch, TioM presents Llora to Viridiana and talks about his never-ending love for his nieces. Viridiana is impressed, Llora is touched. They talk about Ana Le and Llora reveals they are triplets. TioM quickly says that the third sister is dead, but that doesn’t sit well with Llora. She asks him not to say that, they argue some, making Viridiana uncomfortable, and Llora excuses herself. Viridiana and TioM get back to staring and flirting.

New stuff (scenes somewhat consolidated):

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 24 (Aug 1, 2016) 1st Half

First things first—Vivi, thank you for sharing the news of the passing away of MARIANA KARR. Besides being a great interpreter of many telenovela roles, I wasn’t aware she’d made so many films. Who could forget her in just about everyone’s favorites—Alborada and Pasión. A more recent role she had was in Amorcito Corazón as the villain, Jorge Luis’ mother, Beba.

I wonder what will happen to her restaurant, CarayCaray, or if it is even still in existence. Here is our recapper extraordinaire, Cheryl’s description of her visit. http://caraycaray.blogspot.com/2008/02/mariana-karrs-restaurant-caray-caray-in.html

Un Camino—It’s limping along with Lucero. We are united in sticking it out until the bitter end for our bad, very bad, terribly bad Luis and Mariana and rejoice in the reunion of Carlos and Fernanda. What of the rest? We will have to take a wait and see attitude, since the commenters are beginning to voice different opinions.

One thing we can all agree on, is the quality of the story and the presentation—due in great part to the casting, writing, filming, acting and direction. We hope it stays on the road until the last episode.

Tres Veces Ana #44/49: A Mexican Twist To Shrodinger's Gatita

Parte 1.

Dressed in a skort and 5 inch heels with a sleeveless blouse whose neckline plunges to her waistline, Ana Leticia is sitting at her desk “minding the store” for Tío  Mariano.  Iñaki is pissed she stood him up at the (expensive) restaurant for dinner.  He begins a conversation with her that gives A MiMi a chance to save face: Unky Mo is on a vacation and asked her to go along to help him through but she told him no, that he had to learn to manage on his own with Jennifer’s absence in his life; so yeah, he asked her sister instead and he’s going to learn what a mistake that is because she’s nothing but a pain to deal with!  And, speaking of that, where’s her passport?  Yaki tells her it’s right where she left it.  “—Don’t ever mess with my personal stuff again!!”  Yaki starts to goad her into admitting she was there with Jen at the building site the day she died; and yet nobody knows she took that one-day round trip to Costa Paraiso—‘specially Mo and wouldn’t he just love to know that?????  “—Just what are you hiding, Ana Leticia?  Hmmmmm?”

Sueño de amor, Ep. 95 (7.28.16) With faith and patience (and lies of course) everything is possible -Esperanza Guerrero

"Fe y paciencia"
We start this hodgepodge in Esperanza's bedroom, where she is telling Pato that it could be the weevils talking, but she is seriously considering Ernesto proposal. After all, she can drop dead any minute and this could be like a reward for everything he has done for her lately (greased her hinges) and doin' it she could convince Ricardo once and for all to forget her. Talk about killing two birds with one stone! Just to die afterwards!

Meanwhile, in the De la Colina penthouse, Ernesto gets all the pictures, both digital and printed, from Anastasia, who turning a new leaf in her life, has decided to stop blackmailing the father/grandfather of her son. She wants to start from scratch and confesses that in the beginning, is true that she didn't love Luca but he had that attractive that only GWM have (Guys with money) and after getting to know him better she started to love him, only to spoil it all by sleeping with his father. Bad mistake!

Yago #43, Wednesday July 27, 2016: Lies or Consequences

Here is a summary. I'll post a blow-by-blow later tonight.
  • Hernan tells Melina he is collecting for the orphanage, but she turns him away. Later, Melina feels badly and contacts the orphanage, then calls him personally.
  • Katia and Teo agree to give the relationship a try. They want to keep it a secret, but Katia tells Julia, and Yago quickly finds out too. Yago is okay with it, but they don't think Fidel would be so understanding.
  • Camilo and Yago face off (over cards) at the casino. Yago proposes that instead of betting boring money, they should each write down their biggest secret. Yago's secret is "I am Omar." Camilo's secret is "I killed Ambar." However, neither secret is ever revealed.
  • Fidel is convinced that Tom Vargas will switch teams if he's offered more money.
  • Abel meets Tom Vargas, who quickly earns Abel's profound contempt.
  • Sara makes a deal with Camilo that she'll move out of Lucio's house to get a place of her own with Mati, and she'll pay Camilo back. Lucio, however, has already told Mati that they'll be a "family" forever. He dares Sara to tell Mati otherwise. It appears that she chickens out.
  • At the Ambar bar grand opening, Yago works hard to shake Becker's confidence in Camilo. And, Abel makes friends with Julia. He also makes a big scene and loudly accuses Yago of killing Ambar. He's drunk, so Julia offers to drive him home on his motorcycle. (The bar patrons will have to pour their own drinks!)
  • Yago is upset to be blamed (again) for something he didn't do - in this case, Ambar's murder. He tries to explain himself to Sara. When that doesn't work, he says he loves her and tries to kiss her. This earns him a slap. She plays the recorded phone call that makes him sound guilty. They argue about Ambar's murder. Mati overhears.

The blow-by blow:

Sueño de amor #94 Wed. 7/27/16 " A Hot Time in the Old RV Tonight or Don't Go Knocking . . . "

So, Pato and Luca have taken off in the big big RV but alas!!!! there is none of the charm of Lucy and Desi in the long long trailer. . . Well, I better get back on track!

BTW the RV has "Te amo" (I love you) written on it in glow in the dark paint. . .and Pato notices it as they leave it to experience their first and only stop at a park where a multi course formal goutmet meal has been set up, prepared and served to the young lovers. Luca asks if Pato wants some champagne. Pato only wants one glass because she does not want it to be like the telenovelas where the girl loves to drink, gets drunk, falls asleep and wake up having made love. She is legal and responsible. The server pours the champagne. Luca tells her how beautiful she is. She herself is just a ball of nerves. Luca tells her there is nothing to be nervous about because it is just the two of them. He tells her how marvelous she is but she is still stuck on having no confidence because she has no sexual experience. He tries to build up her confidence telling her how smart, funny and sexy she is. Sexy? How would he know? she asks. What about their kisses? he asks. They drive him wild. (the more they discuss it the less romantic it gets, UGH!) He loves her; she fascinates him. He is her superhero and he is the sun of her life. They declare their love to each other and kiss. They are serenaded by their own personal love theme "Para estar contigo" by Pau and Davo LIVE! Pato finds it all magical. They watch the chef prepare some sort of flambé for dessert. Pato says it is very (candente) red hot! (fogoso) fiery! They both add (quemador) burning! Luca goes on with (abrasador) blazing! and (hirviente) boiling! Since all of these words could be used to describe their PASSION, Pato and Luca end up kissing. They share dessert, dance and kiss some more.

A closer look

Flashback. A Bouffant-less Katia is visiting an apartment with her then boyfriend, Leo. They decided to live together though Katia is skeptical. Not about Leo but rather about her own ability to mess up the relationship. Katia is an infamous ruiner of good things, it seems. Leo insists the two of them will be just fine. Sure enough, Leo walks in one day and finds her drugged off her rocker with some random half-naked dude. Before leaving her, Leo says he has done everything he could to make her happy, to make her realize that she is a happy person. But he concedes defeat: She managed to destroy him along with the love he felt for her. Katia's voiceover narration reflects on life and life decisions: “Life is a blank canvas and we are the ones who decide what to draw on it. It is full of possibilities. (...) When I have the possibility to choose, I always pick the wrong path. Years ago, I decided to leave that canvas blank. What would be the point of painting on it, if you’re just going to end up ruining it?”

Tres Veces Ana #46 - Former Enemies' First Dates & A Virgin Wig's Fate

We continue where we left off as Santi dressed as Marcelo has a flashback. Remembering Ramiro's words, he ponders why Leticia wants a divorce & doesn't want him to find Lucia.

Cue the devil herself, Ana Lucifer barges into her grandmother's room while Ernestina is checking her Tinder. Just as abruptly as she entered, she asks her what she's up to. Ernestina lies & says it's just a message from Miranda (but we all expect it's someone that may or may not rhyme with BRodrigo....or *crosses fingers* BEvaristo!). Leticia says she came back for her. Ernestina calls her out & says she thought she wanted to stay w/ her uncle. Leticia says in spite of him begging her to stay, she knew that her abue needed her more. Gag me. She then asks for the earrings Ernestina gave to Jenny to match a dress she bought. Indeed, Leticia's heart is more frigid than the body that hasn't even gone cold yet.

Yago #41. Monday July 25, 2016. Oh, For Pumpkin’s Sake!

Hello Patio Pals! I'm experiencing connectivity problems at home. I have 5 hours at an internet café to watch three episodes and summarize two; so this is going to be short and sweet.

Flashback. Camilo says he is a professional card player who confronted the very best players out there. However, his most difficult and protracted round was with a small child. Little Julia, played by the most adorable munchkin in all of Munchkinland is shown refusing to eat and refusing to let go of her past life. She keeps asking about the family whose memory Camilo wants to erase. Then, one day, little Julia hugs him and, when he tucks her into bed, she says: “Good night, Papá!” Camilo’s heart facsimile audibly melts. Present time. Camilo finds the absence of his daughter so painful, it physically hurts him. The little girl became the only light in his world of shadows. And now, that light is getting dimmer and Camilo can’t do anything about it.

Hello Patio Pals! I'm experiencing connectivity problems at home. I only have 5 hours at an internet café to watch three episodes and summarize two; so this is going to be short and sweet.

This is Esperanza. Esperanza doesn’t want to cause problems between Ricardo and Cristina but her cancer revelation put a monkey wrench in their shacking-up plans anyway. Esperanza tries to remedy the situation by telling Ricardo that she no longer loves him, that she wants him to be happy with somebody else and that she is now dating Ernesto. Esperanza has a martyr complex. Don’t be like Esperanza.

Tres Veces Ana #45 - May I please ask your wife to be my girlfriend?

Maribel and Ana Lu are having a very painful (for us) reconciliation session.  Ana Lu, having listened to Maribel’s venomous statements, responds with a listing of Maribel’s qualities she admires and a statement that she loves her. Maribel’s anger has disappeared, she loves Ana Lu as well, though feels sometimes that Ana Lu is distant, as if she believed herself better than Maribel. The irony of this last statement apparently washes right over Ana Lu’s head, and she spends a couple more minutes baring her soul on refusing Orlando’s advances and her current predicament with Santi until, blissfully, the scene is cut.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 23 (July 25, 2016) 1st Half

IF----THEN, SO---
IF the police find the box of filched bank documents tomorrow, THEN Luis, Solorsano and Alicia will face jail time immediately, SO the only things left to wrap up is how the couples will get paired off.

IF Luis is successful in charging Marissa with adultery, THEN how does he maneuver it SO Super Oh! doesn’t charge him in return.

IF Luis won’t sign the divorce papers, THEN Marissa will have to kill him, SO she can finally be rid of him (not likely, though).

IF Hernan suffers a real heart attack, THEN Mariana will nurse him as long as it takes for him to recover, SO she won’t lose her meal-ticket (lean though it might be).

IF Camila is found, THEN Fer will get a bottle of single-toned Clairol and do her hair over, SO she won’t look like a cast-off cast member at Fer’s wedding.

Tres Veces Ana #39and/or #44 - Lots of Lies While Planning The Next Play

Ramiro, Santiago, aka Marcelo/SanMarco, and Iñaki, continue to play musical mujeres in order to keep the triplets from seeing each other.

Ram keeps Ana Leticia entertained—or is it the other way around since she’s going through a seductive striptease, while SanMarco admits to poor AnaLucia in Yaki’s bedroom(?) that he’s still in love with his wife as well as her now and it’s too complicated to explain.  She, no longer feeling so lucky, tells him that she appreciates his honesty, but not to come looking for her again until he decides he’s going to get that divorce he promised her.  Ana NSLucky leaves, thinking to race into the other apartment to Ram for comfort but, then decides not to, and gets into the elevator instead.  Ram, meantime, admits to Ana MiMi the purely physical attraction he cannot control.  He suggests it’s the physical similarity to her sister, Ana Laura.  MiMi snickers and says well, since she’s thrown you over for that wheelchair bound loser, Valentin, Ram might as well have taken advantage of her attraction to him.  Oh well, Ram’s loss, she taunts as the clothes go back on.  Doesn’t he realize they both have a second chance at happiness.  He is the only one who could make her whole again and take away the horrible bitterness she felt when Marcelo left her to her fate three years earlier.  Ram tells her to hold her tongue.

Ø    Ana Llora shows up and walks into Ram’s apartment just as Yaki shows up to check on things.   Santi sees and hides.  A Llora finds Ram and needs to chat.  He takes a moment to signal to Yaki that he’s got MiMi in his bedroom and to handle her while he chats up A Llora. Yaki entertains MiMi for Ram while he takes care of ALlora. He tells her A Llora showed up looking for Ram.  “—What’s between those two –A Laura and Ramiro?”  She tells him it’s none of his beeswax.  “—A bit jealous, huh?”
Ø
A Llora thinks that he can make a good impression on Abuela Ernestina by showing her the ID bracelet Ram gave her. Santi listens from behind the door.  (A Llora’s voice is sooooo frail- she’s so enervated--in this scene that her voice and presence practically drives me up the wall. I cannot stand this character ANYmore.  Period.)  Ram doesn’t agree, but they can discuss it over lunch.  She refrains, but he insists that he knows the rules now that she’s with TinTin, and it would only be as friends.  She agrees to go then.  (--Good, cuz I don’t think I could stomach her much longer and would have to give up on her scenes today……)  SanMarco sneaks into the hallway of Ram’s apartment now.

Yaki and MiMi walk into the living room and she’s angry that Ram left with her sister.  What’s the big deal? He told you he’s been in love with her his entire life.”  That’s a lie, she insists.  ALlora turns her back on him and he refuses the opportunity to tell AMimim how much he really likes her.  She complains he’s only a opportunist, chasing after their money.  Just like him.  Yaki notes Santi in the doorway and signals to stay covered.  He stutters he doesn’t have the slightest interest in her.  They can’t stand each other anyway, right?  “You even detest me, don’t you?” Yep, she does.  But, oh, she’ll tell him the same as she told Ramiro (in what universe?) that Marcelo was and still is the only man in her life.  Yaki agrees.  “--That’s fine.  Ok.  Bye.”  She calls him boring, turns her nose up and leaves.  Yaki breathes easier.  He makes excuses to SanMarco that he doesn’t know where she gets these crazy ideas from.  He can’t stand her—and it’s less and less by the day.

Yago Capitulo 40 : The Seeds of Time

For the love of Life
There's a trade off
We could lose it all
But we'll go down fighting
Won't we?

At a rather comfy old house of Madrigal, Young Ambar is playing hide and seek with her beloved mother. Ambar is telling us that since childhood we always believe that there can be a safe space in which you could hide in when things go bad but at times the safe space simply vanishes like critters. While playing her mother suddenly passes out to her death. A distraught Ambar calls Daddy Cockroach for help. Daddy Cockroach arrives seemingly sad but at the same time very nasty with his youngest daughter and blames her for the death of her mother (Something tells me Daddy Dearest poisoned his wife). Ambar continues her monologue telling that when the safe space vanishes, we have to become our own safe space to be able to protect ourselves.

Sueño de amor, Ep. 90 (7.21.16) The truth about lies is that they're always temporary and end up messing everything to the worse.

Abril is in bed with 40
April has 40.5°C fever and Cristina Vélez Valderrama, the firewoman of sex education, calls the only person that can help her: The doctor? Noooo! Ricardo! Who else? That way when he comes to help her, he can spend the night! CVV doesn't jump without a sandal (no la brinca sin huarache).

Since he raised two kids and has his share on kids ailments, the middleman recommends to fill the bath tub with warm water and put the girl in it. While he is on the cell phone with her, he calls Dr Camargo on his land line.
A few moments later, fever has lowered to 36.5°C thanks to Ricardo, so there's no need to take the girl to the hospital and another more reason to owe Richerd the girl's life. then we can start all over again, how can I repay you, I don't know, I have an idea, you know... the same old routine these two have.
Once the girl is out of danger, Ricardo has a very sexy flashback in full color in advance for what's coming!

Yago, #39, Wednesday 7/20/16: The Pliers of Despair

Tomas Vargas's adopted son Hernan tells us in a flashback that he doesn't know what it's like to feel the pain of being weak. Tomas Vargas adopts a boy named Hernan. The director of the orphanage (or whatever) warns Tom that Hernan is a troubled child. (We see him playing with a knife.) Our narrator reminds us that, alas, that pain can be helpful because it tells us when it's time to run away.

Still in the flashback, Tom tells Hernan that if he's good, he'll get a treat. Today Tom is going to teach him to shoot! In another flashback when Hernan is a few years older, Hernan is dragging corpses into the horse stables for his proud adoptive daddy.

Lucio visits at Abel's house and presents him with some of the evidence that Camilo gave him at the end of the previous episode. We don't see any of it now, but later we see that there are photos of Teo working with Yago. Abel is shocked and angry. Lucio explains that Yago and Teo both work for Fidel. Abel is even more upset to hear that Yago is now engaged to Ambar!

Camilo and Fidel are still facing off at the former Candy Bar. Fidel gloats. Julia is disgusted with all of them, and runs out. Yago follows to comfort her. (Hmm, I wonder if these two might have a future together?) Camilo shows Fidel the lucky coin and says he'll get it back in the next cadaver, and it will be even more devastating than the loss of his two sons. Camilo dares Fidel to shoot him now and show Julia what kind of man he really is. Selma talks Fidel out of it.

Sueño de amor #89 Wednesday 7/20/16

So they didn't wait until the last commercial break on  Friday to tell us of the time change on Monday to 3:00 ET/2:00 CT.

Anyway, we left off with a tearful Pato praying to God and begging her dead angel of a grandmother to intercede on her mother's behalf.

Luca and Ricardo arrive at Esperanza's house to take Pato and Esperanza out to dinner. Pato tries to give them a heads up about her mother's decision to shave her head, but Esperanza comes out before she can so they can see with their own eyes. Ernesto tells her how beautiful she looks. She scoffs at that but he tells her it is the absolute truth. Even Luca tells here how good she looks. Esperanza laughingly says she will accept that because he is her daughter's love and she will accept Ernesto's compliment because he says he loves her. After all of the compliments, Esperanza decides it is time to go. They are all smiling.

Back at the hotel, Cristina and Ricardo are planning on spending another night together in Cuernavaca. Ricardo is pouring champagne as he asks the Dr.(of pedagogy Cristina) if she is hungry. Yes, she is. He offers her fruit and champagne. There are strawberries and grapes. What does she want? She chooses the grapes which of course he feeds to her. That does not last long before they are kissing and sharing the same grapes.

It’s my fault that Omar is six feet under, that Melina and Jonás lost their son and that Bruno lost his brother”. Abel is visibly twitchy. Don Fernando (QEPD) has walked out of the confines of his malady along the train tracks to heaven. (He’s in a better place now where he doesn’t have to hear the people around him squabbling over his fortune and he knows who he is.) There is a casual dress funeral.
