Another Thursday Night production from RGV and Kirbo

The black sticky evil which is Dario and Ewww has finally ooozed all the way to Victoria. Like in some cheap horror movie where the living tar-like stuff comes in under doors, and through cracks and devours everything it touches.

Vic is still wettin’ her pants in the car with Scario. She asks “What are you going to do? Kill us? We don’t have what you want! Leave my family in peace!”

At Adri’s apartment, Leo and E-lies-a are cuddling and smooching. After they say their “I love yous” E-lies-a can’t stop thinking about how Leo keeps attacking her family. Leo asks her to just spit it out, he’s listening. E-lies-a wonders how Leo would feel if she turned the tables on him and started targeting his brother. Tapia was his brother’s boss, after all, and JL took direct orders from him…so JLuis might also be involved. Leo points out that his brother had several confrontations with his boss and he was even suspended. E-lies-a defends her uncle who has always been there for them…and saved her family’s company from bankruptcy (Puke! Puke! Barf!). Leo wonders if Ewww did it to cover up his illicit businesses, so E-lies-a turns it around once again and asks if his brother might have helped them to cover his own back. Leo reminds her that his bro risked his life to save her sister and wonders why she would want to associate him with Tapia. E-lies-a just wants Leo to understand her and put himself in her place. She sees that Leo is upset and points out that this is how he makes her feel when he attacks her family. Leo must think: Talk talk, you are thinking T-Mobile, I'm thinking Matress firm.

 We’re back at the cemetery, where Leo is threatening Ewwgenio with jail for all of his crimes. He mentions Sonia, too, the way she disappeared before he could talk to her. Fab defends his daddy and everybody has to jump in to break them apart.

Elisa is mad at Leo, his behavior will only drive her away, is that what he wants? Leo is upset, too, what is he supposed to do, pretend that everything is OK? It’s his duty to investigate, search for the truth, wherever it may lead. Elisa wants him to stop accusing her family, they already hate him and are making her life impossible.

⦁ Leonardo is on an investigative roll.  He tells his mopey, doe-eyed Elisa straight out that he's not blaming anybody in particular at this point, but he's going to investigate the leads he has and let the chips fall where they may.  (Viewerville knows even if El refuses to accept it, that that must mean Tio Eugenio, especially where Sofia is concerned.)  In particular, Leo's going to be investigating Gilberto [Tapia], Jose Luis's boss.  He seems to be up to his neck in coverups these days, according to Leo.  And, he's been putting the brakes on every aspect of this case any chance he gets.  Tapia was the one who ordered Marcelo's death.  Why?  Well, because of all the money involved...lots of money...dirty money.  She fears for his safety.  He fears he'll never see her smiling and cheerful.  (Say, has she ever been cheerful or smiling since he's known her?)   He mentions now he's been getting the evil eye from Victoria and Fabricio since he arrived and so he'd better go before they cause a scene.  She pooches her mouth, even more, to re-emphasize there is absolutely nothing between her and the Curly-Locks Kid.  If there isn't, he surmises aloud, then why feel the need to bring it up?  Because you do, dude--every chance you get!

Elisa told Leo about spending the night with Renata in her hospital room. He told her about Marcelo's death and the belief that he committed suicide. Further, that Eugenio took Sonia out of the hospital and that now there was no way of corroborating Marcelo's statements about Eugenio's possible involvement in Augusto's murder. Elisa still refused to believe that Eugenio could do this. She thought that he had taken Sonia home for her own benefit.

The Reclusorio of the Open Door

The jailhouse thugs stroll into Marcelo's cell with a present for him: FaceTime with his nearest and dearest, which in this case means Eugenio gets to threaten Sonia in front of him, and then Sonia gets to watch the thugs beat him up. Talk about a bad connection. 

Eu tells him to retract his statement in the morning or things will get way worse, which Marcelo believes, because they always do. 

Adriana's House of the Revolving Door

The Three Musketeers are lolling around discussing their completely unauthorized case, but Leo's clearly not into it. His two sidekicks urge him to call Elisa and patch things up, because love is...and he deserves...frankly I stopped paying attention at this point because I was too busy marveling over the fact that he was taking romantic advice from two people who have never had a successful date in their entire lives, with each other or anyone else. Anyway, he calls her, but she's not very receptive (probably because Fernanda is dribbling a steady stream of distrust into her guisqui.)

Victoria's Home for Wayward Girls

Vic makes a stately descent of the Staircase of Doom in a flattering and age-appropriate black & white dress that she will probably be allowed to wear for about two minutes before wardrobe sticks her back into the potbelly pants. (Why do they hate her? Because she got herself a real hair stylist?) She waxes nostalgic about how nice it is to see Elisa & Fer together, just like when they were little tykes. Then she gets maudlin about Augusto and asks Elisa to produce a greeting-card sentiment about their marriage, which she obligingly does. 

But that's not enough. She pointedly asks Fernanda if she thinks her husband really loved her, or was he betraying her? Fernanda goes into a catatonic state and plays back a memory in which she demanded that Augusto leave his wife or no more cookies. Well, that puts a different complexion on things, doesn't it?

Not my best effort, but these characters are just the worst! I hope you enjoy it!  

Dario asks Majo to admit that she loves him. If she doesn’t, than just go and they will never be together again. She turns to leave, he gets up and we can see he's bleeding through his hospital gown. He falls on an armchair, Majo ends up saying that she does love him.

Leo arrives at the hospital, asks Mario to guard the front entry, while he goes to confront Cobra. He finds Dario with Majo, asks her to go outside. Dario tries to negotiate, says they have a common enemy, but Leo doesn’t listen (he should!) Tadeo, Dario’s accomplice comes up from behind and threatens Leo with a gun, hits him and leaves him unconscious. Dario, Tadeo and Majo flee the hospital room. They run into Mario, who tries to shot Dario, but Majo gets in between. Tadoe tries to shot at Mario, the cop finally has no other choice but to drop his gun and let them go.

He finds Leo in the hospital room, tells him that Majo left willingly. The precinct has been alerted, Leo decides to tell Elisa.

Leonardo is having it out with Elisa over her not telling him about the trip to N.Y. C.  Oh, it was just business as usual.  He's more pissed that she went with Curly Locks, aka Fabulous Fabricio, than that she didn't bother to call and let him know at all.  He was really worried.  Really worried!!  She knew he was in Acapulco and it was only for a really short time so she's there to say hi.  Riiiiiiight.

Renata and Victoria had a nasty argument with Victoria hurling her usual sarcastic insults. Such as asking “Where are you and the baby going to live, in the cell with Marcelo?” They struggled at the top of the stairs with a predictable result: Renata ended up tumbling down to the marble floor at the foot of the stairs. Victoria and Maria José ran down to her. She was conscious. Victoria shouted to the maid to call for an ambulance. Renata told them to get Marcelo. She had forgotten that he was in the slammer.

She did remember to yell at her mother not to touch her. She would not move, saying she didn't want to lose her baby. Maria José gave her mother a hard look.Read more »

Another Friday night fright nite combined effort from RGV and Kirbo.

Leo is with Sonia who struggles to whisper, “He wanted to kill me.” Leo asks her who “he” is but she is too weak to respond. After he insists and asks if it was Ewww, Sonia’s monitors go off. The doctor and nurses immediately come in and tell Leo that they need to stabilize her so he needs to step out.

Out in the corridor, Leo couldn’t have imagined seeing Sonia so fragile and weak. The doctor tells him that they don’t know how long Sonia had been without food or water. Leo should have told him how long but he is only thinking about how the animal who did this to Sonia has to pay. Adri asks if Sonia will recover, so the doctor tells them that they will have to be patient and see how Sonia reacts. He then comments that they were over lucky to have found Leo and asks if Leo is related. After Leo responds that he is not related, the doctor informs Leo that they have to contact Sonia’s family and asks if she is married, but Sargent Sanchez who initially contacted Leo interrupts with information about the boat’s owner.

El doesn't want to think about anything but them right now and enjoy the moment.

Fer runs straight to Eww for an inperson report on her recon / spy mission at the gallery opening and tells Eww that Majo told her everything. Majo was very nervous and was acting strange. Majo told her that she even went to see Piedad. Fer is afraid that Majo will confess everything to some one else now.

Mario and Adriana have a little dust up with Mario the STALKER asking Adriana what the heck is she doing, and Adri telling him to let her live her life. Adri tells Mar that she has nothing going on with JL. He needs to stop butting into her Life. He needs to get a life. Mar agrees about getting a life.

Mario aint getting laid tonight,,,,,or EVER.................

He gave Ad back her key. Bye.......and scurries out with his tail between his legs. These two are still an uninspiring mystery.

This is a good episode, if you haven't watched it yet, give it a try, it's worth it! I’ll try to do it justice, but I'm not sure that I can. 

Scenes have been combined, there was so much head hopping it was the only way I could write this in an intelligible way.

Elisa sees red when she realizes that her nemesis, Dario, is at the gallery. She goes to him, he threatens her a bit, their usual banter. Leo and Fab join them (as Ewwgenio looks on), Leo would like to know who the new guy is. Elisa looks scared, not enough time to come out with a believable lie. Fab to the rescue, he introduces Dario Ramirez, the new investor he's been talking about while we didn't pay any attention to anything other than his poodle hair.

Cara impactada de Adriana Noel, I DID NOT see this coming. Dario, you clever bastard (pun intended), you had a plan all along.

We return to the screen to watch a full two minutes of Leonardo loudly making out with his Man of Lamancha's Impossible Dreamsicle. his "10", in the living room at Mama's house; this leads to some really freaky flashbacks for some of us in Viewerville.  On a scale of 1-10, I'd rank it a  negative 12.  Bwahahahahha!

At the same time, Clara is remembering Papi Justino advising her to steer clear of the types of people her big sister got involved with and to make her own decisions in life rather than let Nieves bully her around.  But, it's too late since she's now in it neck deep a diario with Dario.  She has second thoughts it would appear because suddenly she calls Leo to advise him of some strange man having kidnapped Maria Jose again.  She cannot describe him, has never before seen him, and now she's worried (hours after the fact?????) that Majo doesn't answer her phone.  Leo will handle it.   Elisa gives her two centavos' worth that she's certain it was  Cobra who has taken her.

 Can we get a Poodle?  Tonight is a combined recap from RGV and Kirby

So, everyone is wondering how Blondie will react to Leo’s news that Mophead didn’t confess and Ewww might have made Sonia disappear. Well, sit down and put your drinks down so that you won’t choke…

Clueless Blondie thinks that what Leo is saying is absurd; Ewww has been a good friend of the family, he is like a father to her and has risked so much and given his money to save the company (Ach! Ach! Ach!). As FerNasty has her ear glued to the door, she listens as Leo argues that what Mophead told him was logical, Mop is afraid that Ewww will do something to him if he rats on him. Blondie insists that Leo is talking about her uncle as if he is a criminal; he is incapable of hurting anyone (More Ach! Ach! Ach!). Leo wonders if Ewww wouldn’t hurt anyone if he felt betrayed. When he drops the bomb that Marc and Sonia are lovers, Blondie scoffs and can’t believe that Leo believed Marc. While Leo tells Elisa that he saw Sonia and Marc together, FerNasty alerts Ewww that Leo is looking for Sonia to interrogate her…and Leo talked to Marc who probably told him everything.  We pick up where we left of, with Fab asking « absoluta discretion » from Leo. When the cop can’t promise that some information won’t leak to the press, Fab gets all ruffled: he’s here to defend the company, the family and most of all, ELISA. This gets Leo all hot and bothered, too, especially when Fab says that she probably needs protecting from him, too. Oooh, you guys, lame cockfight coming in 3, 2, 1…

Elisa just stands there, barely making a half-ass intervention, she probably likes the attention. She asks the guys to stop fighting, since they have so much problems right now.

Marcelo is being shoved into the back of a police car having been caught red-handed trying to sell one of the stolen pre-hispanic art pieces supposedly robbed by Augusto Cantu prior to his murder.  Of course Elisa is as surprised as anybody that it's Marc. What happens next with Marc? Leo says he's going to be held at the police station as Suspect Numero Uno.   Elisa is dumb blond dumbfounded--more tragedy and heartbreak--and more migraine material.  Poor big sister!  How to deal with it all?  Elisa simply cannot go on.  She asks Leonardo how she can possibly inform the family that Marcelo is involved with stolen art and the death of his father-in-law?  Especially Renata?  Leo says hang on a Mexicano minute.  He's going to be held for theft and trafficking of stolen art pieces but NOT for murder. (Small comfort, babe.)  Elisa tells him that Marc is totally incapable of that--that what?  (What, Elisa?  Theft, trafficking, or murder?)  Whatever, the news needs to come from Elisa, advises Leo.  Worse days are ahead.

Leo and Elisa kissed and talked about starting over. They forgave each other. They could not be without each other. She showed him a computer storage device and they left together.

Victoria asked the badly disguised Dario whether they needed to sign for anything.

“I'm just waiting for an answer,” he said. Majo stared at her hands while gritting her teeth through this. The maid entered to tell Victoria that Clara was waiting to talk to her. She left Majo alone with her secret lover and captor. He looked more like the latter than the former.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“You were free of me. I just wanted to be close.”
She looked behind. “If she sees you –”
“Your mother? Your mother left you with a messenger. Only you can tell her otherwise.” He moved in closer, causing her to back away at the same pace. “What are you going to do? Are you going to tell her who I am?:
“No, no” she said, shaking her head. “I won't tell her. But I don't want you to be here. I don't need the anxiety. The fear.”
“Fear? Why?” he asked He moved in closer. “You know I would never hurt you.”
“You have hurt me,” she said, grimacing. “Don't you remember? Leave me alone, please.”
“I am completely insane about you.”
“Go. Go. Please,” she said, shaking her head. He stroked her face. Neither of them saw Renata on the other side of the window in the room's door.
“You will always be mine,” he whispered. “Don't forget that.”

He stepped away without kissing her. She was crying. She crossed her arms and closed in on herself. Renata did not enter the room. She was quiet as a mouse.

Leo runs into El after finding out about the diary, etc. Ms. El gets the cold shoulder, as she should. Ruh Roh, Leo does not jump through his ass every time a Cantu eyelash flutters. The end of the world.

Good for Leo grow a pair, turn and walk away. Leo can't confide in El since she did not tell him about the diary. That is your first clue Leo.

Majo has disappeared!! Warden Vic has checked her cell and she is nowhere to be found. End of the world 2.0.

Vic tells Eww that the kiss shouldn't have happened. Oh wow, strong statement there, Eww must be terrified.

I was waiting for: “But But Sis, Dario kidnapped me.”
“Oh yeah, Kidnapped me too last night.”
Did not! Did too did not did too.

At Scario's trendy hideout he and Majo have some catching up to do. Scario is sad that she believes things that he didn't do. We are privy to some pretty sexy screaming.
Majo reminds him that he promised to change. Scario tells her to take out her anger, Oops, on him?

Previously on...

Elisa is kidnapped in front of the restaurant where Leo is waiting for their “let’s start over” date. The Cantus should look into getting a 2 for 1 discount with the feds for their kidnapping situations.

Her head covered, she is taken to the fanciest looking kidnapping bunker, where Dario is waiting, to spread some of his Cantu sisters lover joy. Gun to her head, Elisa receives the following instructions: she is to take the million dollars that he will hand her and deposit it in the account that he will give her. And she has 24 hours to do it. Elisa refuses, she can’t move around all that money to their shady accounts, the constructora is being monitored.  Dario points out that is not HIS problem, and if she doesn’t do as he says, mommy Victoria will be the next to suffer the consequences. Elisa, I say good riddance, let him try, see who wins in a fight with Victoria Cantu.

⦁ When is a kiss not a kiss?  When it's conflicted.  Like Leo seems to be. the poor thing.  Seems his motor's revving but he's still stuck in P for parked.  Elisa is tired of him just spinning his wheels.    He tells the teary-eyed Elisa that his head is a jumble of mixed feelings and thoughts.  She wonders why he didn't figure it out once he saw the videos of Julia with Daddy.  Those should have clarified a lot of things for him.  Leo doesn't want to hurt her, but he doesn't know what he feels/wants and his emotions are all over the board.  He's not rejecting her BUT... Well, he might as well have according to Elisa.  She says she doesn't deserve to be played and knows exactly what and who she wants.  (Gawd only knows why it's him.)  Head games simply are not on her list.  Leo looks scared to take her at her word.  However, timid teddy bear types on guilt trips are not Elisa's--nor this corner of Viewerville's--style.  (Please, somebody buy this dude a clue.)  She walks away, more than less perturbed.

“Don't be afraid, Clara,” Victoria said, in that voice that shouted it was something unwelcome. “Just tell Leo what you discovered about her.”

“What did you find out? Tell me.”

“I'm sorry, it was nothing.”

“No, no,” said Victoria with a cynical smile Leo could only hear in her voice. “It's not your fault that your sister was my husband's lover.”

“Is what she said true, Clara?” Leo asked. He was calmer than Victoria was hoping for. “Is there anything you want to tell me?”

“No, sorry,” she said. She left the room quickly. She did not look him in the eye. He went after her.

“Clara, wait.” He followed her out.

“At least she told him,” Victoria said. She was as unemotional as a CEO addressing a board meeting.

“What have you done, Mother?” Elisa asked. “Why is this person in the house?”

“Is she the sister of the woman who died with my father” Majo asked.

“What are you doing?” Elisa asked.

“Why don't you tell her? Because you have no case? Clara is my personal assistant.” She turned to Elisa. “Besides, there is nothing wrong with helping people who need it.”

“I'm sorry, but I don't believe in your 'good intentions.' What does she know about Father? What did she tell you?”

Like always, scenes have been combined and dialogue reduced to the important facts. Feel free to add anything I might have missed.

Elisa is kissing on Leo again and this time he really looks uncomfortable. He goes for the “it’s not you, it’s me” speech, or the Spanish version “no me lo tomes a mal”, but it only makes Elisa feel worse, since she thought he felt the same (gotta be the breakfast he prepared for her several times).

Leo’s problem is that he hasn’t forgotten Julia (how could he, since she’s only been dead for 14 capitulos). But they do need to keep working together to find the assassins. (Remember the premise of the show? So much seems to have happened in the meantime)

In conclusion: what keeps them together tears them apart (cue dramatic music).

 Maria Jose is rescued, so is Dario's mom who assumes her son is dead and starts to spill the beans about his criminal activity, Maria Jose tells her to keep quiet and to say nothing else to the police. Leo tries to get Maria Jose to talk to Elisa but she refuses to, in fact for the rest of the episode Majo continues to refuse to see/talk to Elisa because this dumb bell apparently trusts her kidnapper more than she does her sister, maybe she is too stupid to live.

Elisa is heartbroken that her sister won't talk to her, but things only get worse for her because Fernanda, with Eugenio's blessing tells Victoria EVERYTHING, she tells Victoria that Leo is a cop, that Majo was never in New York but was in fact kidnapped. Victoria is livid! Behind the scenes Eugenio  pulled some strings to get his dirty cop Gilberto to interview Majo about her experience, he does this in order to find out what Majo knows about why/who ordered her kidnapping. Majo tells Gilberto she has no idea why she was kidnapped, she believes it was in order to get money from her family, she says she was blindfolded the whole time and would be unable to identify her abductor.
